Under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDP) ArtSeen is required to adhere to the eight principles of data protection as laid down by the GDPR. In accordance with those principles  personal data will be:

  1. Processed fairly and lawfully and in a transparent manner

  2. Processed for specific purposes only

  3. Adequate, relevant and not excessive

  4. Accurate and up to date

  5. Not kept longer than is necessary

  6. Processes in accordance with the individual’s rights

  7. Processed and held securely

  8. Not transferred outside of the UK

In addition under the GDPR, YOU have the following legal rights:

  1. The right to ask for a copy of all information we hold on you

  2. The right to amend or correct the data we hold about you

  3. The right to have all information held about you to be deleted

  4. Right to restrict processing (for us to stop processing data but not delete it)

  5. The right to request a copy of all information we hold on you in a common, machine readable format

  6. The right to object to direct marketing, to processing for research or statistics, to processing based on legitimate interest or public interest

  7. The right not to be profiled

 

What Type of Information We Collect

 

We collect your information only when you decide to interact with ArtSeen. This can happen by you signing up to or subscribing to receive our newsletters or emailed information about the company or about any of our projects via our website.

You will be asked to confirm that you consent to us storing your information whenever personally identifiable information is collected. You will be able to unsubscribe via our newsletters or through writing or emailing ArtSeen. 

 

We use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information such as comments, feedback and reviews. 

 

Non electronically sourced data is sometimes collected as a result of volunteering or participating with us, on paper and in person at our events or activities or by becoming a sponsor or donor. This information will be transferred or scanned to electronic format. 

 

Information and records will be stored securely and will only be accessible to authorised staff. Information will be stored for only as long as it is needed or required by law and will be disposed of appropriately after that time

Information collected electronically is stored with a third party; Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to market and information share our services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. ArtSeen will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. ArtSeen may share anonymous data with other agencies such as the local authority, funding bodies and other voluntary agencies as there is just cause to do so. ArtSeen will not share identifiable data with outside agencies unless there is a legal requirement.

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on a site visitor's browser. They are typically used to keep track of the settings users have selected and actions they have taken on a site.

Functionality – We use some functionality-based cookies to help the site function properly. These are called ‘Essential Cookies’. Declining these might change the way our website looks and/or behaves. These cookies are NOT used for targeted advertising.

Occasionally, the pages on our site may link to other external websites (e.g. to point you to extra information or to a video) – ArtSeen is not responsible for the content of, or policies, of any external site to which we link. 

Can I manage Cookies on my computer?

Your Browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc.) has options which will allow you to control and remove Cookies that have been stored on your computer. Sometimes this is in the same place where you view your History. Use your Browser’s Help facility if you are unsure where you can go to delete cookies.
